Following the success of the debut album Totus Tuus, composer Michael John Trotta returns with the New York Repertory Singers with this album of new recordings for choir and orchestra, including “Break of Day,” “In the Bleak Midwinter,” and “This Present Moment” for choir and orchestra. Also included are unaccompanied works in the style of “I Shall See,” including “Veni, Veni, Emmanuel” and “Adam Lay Bounden,” as well as a moving new setting the “Silent Night” text (“All is Calm”).

His music is praised as “elegant, singable music with a strong spiritual heft,” making him “one of the most exciting and prominent composers of choral music.”
